Mr. Transparency

So I have subscribed to other peoples blogs. One of them is Jeff Huff's conservative politics.

Here's the question - maybe Jeff will reply....

I have posted 3 or so comments on his blog - but lo and behold - they never get published. What you get is this...

Click it on and you will see that it says that comments must be approved and that only comments that meet with the blog owners approval will be visible.

Well, so much for transparency. I guess it is OK to pontificate - just don't confuse me with the facts or difference of opinions.

I would like to think leaders would be open to opposing positions.

  1. In response to Mr. Huff's comments regarding the audit, this was just submitted to his blog:

"It is unfortunate Mr. Huff has only this small issue to focus upon. We have yet to see a real platform from Mr. Huff. His campaign has focused upon nit picking the volunteer efforts of our elected officials. It is clear that he is still not a supporter of incorporation and our strong city. Do you have a platform Mr. Huff? Or is your negative fodder your proposed method of leadership both inside and outside city boundaries?

In the grand scheme of things, this audit not a hot button issue. It is a blatant attempt to grasp that last straw. The issue relative to the 2008 audit is based upon being a new city and having to engage in a complete and thorough re-valuation of all property and assets of the city. In addition, there is some disagreement with the auditors relative to those valuations.

A simple question for you Mr. Huff. Are you more interested in speed or accuracy? It appears for political expediency, you prefer the former. I'm not certain the voters could trust you with the public interest if that is truly your philosophical bent.
I will be very surprised to actually see this comment posted to your blog. It is a well known fact that the censorship of this blog is rampant. This does not marry to your statements supporting the First Amendment. But, I guess constructive criticism has no place in your campaign."
